According to the latest data breach report by IBM and the Ponemon Institute, the cost of a data breach in 2021 was US$ 4.24 million. It is expected to continue to grow in 2022. Other than the great financial impact, a Data breach can have a lasting impact on your reputation and customer trust.
When Testpoint planned to introduce Vansah Test Management for JIRA Cloud, we knew it was critical to invest in a vulnerability discovery program that would provide the necessary assurance using industry experts to independently test our app. This is when we discovered that Atlassian already had this type of program “Marketplace Bug Bounty Program” for its Marketplace partners.
There is no doubt Atlassian is taking cloud security seriously, focusing on trust. The Marketplace Bug Bounty program and the new Cloud Security Participant badge are part of the next iteration in Atlassian’s cloud security journey. By joining the program, Testpoint allowed leading security research participants to test Vansah in production, focusing on security vulnerabilities. Participants were then rewarded based on the severity of the vulnerability discovered.
“While we apply the best in class vulnerability scans and traditional penetration tests with trusted security expertise, we have seen many great benefits from the bug bounty program. ” Fadi Hawli, Co-Founder, Vansah

The recent announcement has been welcomed by the Vansah community and customers, seen as the next step to producing a trusted and security focused solution for their business.
