The Ministry of Education – Saudi Arabia (MOE-SA) manages large-scale digital platforms supporting national education administration. As user demand grew especially during high-traffic events like exam results and reporting cycles the Ministry sought expert assistance to validate the performance and resilience of its student-facing applications.

Challenge

MOE-SA’s key platform faced increasing performance risks under heavy load, particularly across:

• Login and dashboard load times
• Dynamic API-driven content
• Dashboard rendering and response times

The Ministry needed to ensure these applications performed consistently under stress while monitoring real-time user experience and diagnosing back-end service bottlenecks.

Testpoint delivered a two-phase Performance Testing and Monitoring solution, combining synthetic testing, load simulation, and real-time observability via Dynatrace.

Phase 1: Preparation and Observability Setup

• Conducted a series of stakeholder workshops to align on test scenarios, architecture, and monitoring priorities
• Installed and configured Dynatrace OneAgent and ActiveGate across MOE infrastructure
• Established real-time application monitoring (APM) for critical flows including login and dashboard performance

Phase 2: Load Testing Execution

• Built 5 synthetic monitoring scripts using Vansah Synthetics to emulate user interactions and measure responsiveness
• Developed 3 load testing scripts simulating peak concurrent access
• Executed two performance cycles with Virtual Users (scalable with add-ons)
• Monitored backend performance in real time using Dynatrace during load execution
• Provided detailed test results and diagnostics for remediation and optimisation
