Deploying Automation Framework to Busienss Management with Test Coverage in less than 5 days

I would like to share my experience at my current project working on QTP 9.5 & implementing the Tpoint™/STP Automation Framework. The project I am currently working on is extremely agile with very tight delivery milestones. I guess most of our (I.T.) projects are always like that, where time is the key essence.

Normally, in any project automating the first few weeks always takes time. Since, first you try to figure out how the tool behaves with the application under test. How your testscripts are going to be written and most importantly how are we going to handle the maintenance. All this needs proper time & planning. But thankfully, with the revolutionary Tpoint framework in place & the support of STP API all this was cut-down to a very short time.

In this Project, the turnaround time, of implementing the Tpoint Automation framework and developing the scripts in QTP took a mere less than 5 days. Thats right. only five days to get the whole thing up-and-running and giving a demonstration to the management within 5 working days. This was all possible due to the Tpoint™/STP Framework. As the number of functions supported by the API is just amazing. Everything becomes a breeze with the API. All this with the main functionality of viewing the automation results while the scripts are running.

I found Testpoint to be passionate, professional and dedicated in providing automated regression testing services. Testpoint provided an agile but robust framework to build a comprehensive test suite for functional regression testing of a complex superannuation software package. Testpoint also successfully re-architected the functional test suite to reduce the run-time by a factor of 10 which allowed AAS to successfully run a regression suite on urgent patches which was previously unachievable.

More importantly Testpoint successfully implemented a program of educating the functional test team in the use of regression tools, such that the overall test effort was not only reduced, but the test ‘reach’ was expanded considerably. In addition Testpoint managed an integrated performance testing program and lead the test team in undertaking performance testing on projected transaction loads and user base, which was a key success factor in identifying and rectifying performance bottlenecks and application critical stress points.

I can certainly recommend Testpoint services for both their passionate approach and extensive knowledge in automated regression testing tools.
